Sir:-
I am directed by Secretary Sir Grey to
Sir Gre acknowledge receipt of your letters (50382) of
(50382) M
November 8th and (52056) of November 15th regarding
shipments of antimony from Hongkong to the United
States of Americe.
Sir E. Grey agrees, subject to the c ncurrence
of the Ministry of Munitions, to the proposal to
modify the draft telegram from Mr. Secretary Bonar Law to the Governor of HongKong forwarded in your
10, letter (47901) of the 20th ultimo in such a way
as to include the condition that delivery of the
antimony should not be given by His Majesty's
Consul-General at New York until he is satisfied
that it will be employed in producing munitions for
the Allied Governments.
Sir E. Grey also concurs in Mr. Bonar Law's
proposal to add to the telegram the words:"Shipment
mentioned in your telegram of 30th October may be
allowed on these terms".
